DDM Novastar Offers Expanded Suite of Soldering Products for Low Volume, High Mix Applications
King of Prussia, PA - July 7, 2011
DDM Novastar, LLC, a global leader in the design, development, and manufacture of OEM solutions for short to medium run SMT and PCB assembly, has expanded its suite of soldering products to specifically address the needs of low volume, high mix soldering applications. The recent introductions of the ESS Selective Soldering Machines, EWS-500 Wave Soldering Machines, and ERO-500 Reflow Ovens are specifically designed for low volume, high mix assemblers providing new easy to operate options at cost-effective entry points for batch soldering applications. As a supplier of turnkey solutions, DDM Novastar equipment provides easy to use, robust systems, with intuitive programming software enabling users to get up and running quickly.
The ESS Selective Soldering Machines are all-inclusive batch soldering systems with on-board, touch screen, micro-controllers, and on-board flux, preheat, and omni-directional soldering. The exceptional accuracy and repeatability along with flexibility to perform single point, drag, mini-wave, and dip soldering, increases solder joint quality and board throughput. For increased productivity and throughput, off-line programming and photoscan software are also available.
The EWS Wave Soldering Machines delivers low cost of ownership in a compact footprint, providing the same level of process control and parameter monitoring found in more expensive machines. The EWS Machines employ a durable "L" finger handling mechanism allowing for efficient, pallet-less board transport. Continuous width adjustments allow for quick change over for all board widths up to and including twelve (12) inches or 310mm. The streamline design of the EWS Wave Soldering Machines makes maintenance and cleaning easy and the durable welded steel frame construction provides years of reliable service.
DDM Novastar continues to focus on developing and offering solutions to meet the small to medium production and prototyping needs of SMT OEM assemblers. The company concentrates its efforts on developing systems that provide easy to operate, user-friendly programming with durable construction that are easily maintained at cost-effective price points that appeal to low volume assemblers looking for affordable automation options.
About DDM Novastar
DDM Novastar, Inc, was established in 2011, following the close of APS Novastar, LLC. Many of the key people from APS were then hired by DDM Novastar to continue the legacy started by APS in 1981. The former APS Novastar company was the recipient of a 2009 Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Award. With most of the same key people in place, DDM Novastar expects to continue in their footsteps, as the global leader in the design, development, and manufacture of OEM equipment for the short to medium run surface mount technology (SMT) and printed circuit board (PCB) markets.
DDM Novastar's products include stencil printers, automated pick and place robots, reflow ovens, wave and selective solder equipment, component counters and lead forming equipment. DDM Novastar's experienced team has installed over 20,000 product solutions in the telecom, defense and aerospace, security, transportation, automotive, medical device and diagnostics, personal computer, display and academic markets.
