SMTrueTM Run Optimize Software Increases Efficiency by Providing Off-Line Programming for LS, LE, and CS Series Automated Pick and Place Machines
King of Prussia, PA – September 29, 2009
DDM Novastar, Inc, a global leader in the design, development, and manufacture of OEM solutions for short to medium run SMT and PCB assembly is pleased to announce the release of its SMTrue Run Optimize off-line programming and management software module. For use with LS, LE, and CS automated SMT pick and place machines, SMTrue Run Optimize Software incorporates Universal CAD Translator with the powerful new functionality of off-line job and feeder set-up, programming, optimization, and management even before the engineer, operator, or technician steps in front of the machine. SMTrue Run Optimize Software enables the user to become familiar with pick and place operations, feeder management, and cycle-time optimization in an off-line engineering mode.
The DDM Novastar SMTrue Run Optimize pick and place software module converts industry standard, text delimited CAD files into a machine friendly component, location, and orientation database. It enables off-line pick and place machine programming in an easy-to-learn engineering mode. Manufacturing Engineers, Operation Managers, or Production Managers can operate in a convenient off-line mode, optimizing either new or existing SMT pick and place programs, while machine operators are simultaneously completing ongoing production runs.
"The release of the new SMTrue Run Optimize software module now provides short run SMT assemblers with the off-line capability usually associated with longer run OEM pick and place machines", stated Roman Rosales, Engineering Manager. "DDM Novastar is known for its easy-to-operate pick and place machines at an affordable value. Now, with the addition of the SMTrue Run Optimize software module providing off-line job management, we can provide our customers a best in class solution."
